Provided are a device, method and program for processing images, which reduce the frequency of false identifications in three-dimensional identifications of face images. An image processor comprises a preparation determining unit (12), an initiation determining unit (13), and a first three-dimensional identification unit (14). The preparation determining unit (12) determines whether the condition of a face image, included in the first image of a plurality of images obtained at different times, meets the preconditions and is in a prepared state for a three-dimensional determining process. The initiation determining unit (13) determines whether the condition of the face image, included in an image other than the first image, has changed from the prepared state to initiate the three-dimensional determining process. The first three-dimensional identification unit (14) which, if the image is determined to be ready for initiation, performs three-dimensional determination of the face image included in the obtained image.
