A nuclear reactor containment structure comprising: a nuclear reactor containment container (10); a nuclear reactor containment chamber (11) provided within the nuclear reactor containment container (10) and containing the nuclear reactor (5); a pool (12) which is provided within the nuclear reactor containment container (10) at a position below and adjacent to the nuclear reactor containment chamber (11) and in which an emergency cooling liquid (W) is contained; an opening (11b) for allowing the emergency cooling liquid (W) to flow from the nuclear reactor containment chamber (11) into the pool (12); a sump (13) provided below the pool (12); a debris filtration body (14) provided to the sump (13) and filtering debris (D) contained in the emergency cooling liquid (W); a pump device (20) for sucking the emergency cooling liquid (W) from the sump (13) and discharging the liquid to the inside of the nuclear reactor containment chamber (11); and a baffle plate (30) for guiding the emergency cooling liquid (W), which flows from the opening (11b) into the pool (12), in the direction away from the sump (13).
