PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone type separator which is capable of surely separating a first object to be separated and a second object to be separated both sizes of which are different. SOLUTION: The cyclone type separator 11 is provided with a cylindrical first cyclone 13 the upper end of which is opened, an influx mouth 18a for allowing a mixture consisting of a brush article and fluff dust which is smaller than the brush article to flow into the first cyclone 13, that is installed in the tangential direction to the peripheral wall of the upper end of the first cyclone 13, a plurality of long holes 23 which regulate the passage of the brush article and allow the passage of the fluff dust, that is formed on the peripheral wall of the lower end of the first cyclone 13, a separation chamber formation member 24 to surround each long hole 23 and to form a separation chamber 25 at the outside of the peripheral wall of the lower end of the first cyclone 13, and a suction mouth which is installed on the separation chamber formation member 24 and which sucks the separation chamber 25.
