PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for adjusting a legless chair, which provides supporting effect ergonomically best suited for a seated person. SOLUTION: In the method and the system for adjusting a legless chair, sitting posture and comfortableness to sit are actively adjusted by corresponding to seated persons having different body weights. A plurality of pressure detecting devices 20 detect pressure distribution of support surfaces 11 of the legless chair. The width of each of the support surfaces 11 is actively changed through a plurality of airbags 30 embedded in the support surface 11. Therefore, the contact area between the support surface 11 and the seated person is increased, and pressure distribution between the support surface and the seated person agrees with a predetermined ratio.
