INTERACTIVE IMAGE REGISTRATION

A system for registering at least two input images is described. The input images comprise projection images. The system comprises a graphical user interface (1) for receiving a user input indicating a portion of at least one of the input images. The system comprises segmenting means (2) for segmenting an object represented by the input image, based on the portion,to obtain a segmented object. The system comprises mask identifying means (3) for identifying a mask based on the segmented object, the mask being indicative of a portion of the input image whereon the registering is to be based. The system comprises registration means (4) for registering the images, taking into account the mask, for obtaining at least two registered images. The system further comprises subtracting means (5) for subtracting one registered image from another registered image.
