PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing resin particles whose state of pores can easily be adjusted. SOLUTION: The method of producing resin particles comprises: preparing a W/O/W type emulsion having at least one polymerizable monomer as an oil component selected from (meth)acrylic monomers and aromatic monomers; polymerizing the polymerizable monomer contained in the W/O/W type emulsion to obtain a slurry containing polymer particles containing a plurality of water drops inside; and drying the polymer particles to obtain spherical resin particles having a plurality of pores inside wherein the polymerization of the polymerizable monomer is carried out by irradiating an active energy ray onto the W/O/W type emulsion.
