PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking-beam-type heat treatment furnace, which does not decrease productivity, further does not increase fuel consumption and can uniformly heat a metal material. SOLUTION: The walking-beam-type heat treatment furnace 40 includes: a furnace body 11; burners 14 and 15; a plurality of fixed beams 17 in each of which water pipes 18 for circulating cooling water therein are arranged; and a plurality of mobile beams 19 which are arranged in parallel among the plurality of the fixed beams 17, are supported so as to be capable of moving up and down between the lower position and the upper position of the fixed beams 17 and also be capable of moving back and forth, and besides have water pipes 20 for circulating cooling water therein arranged in each of the inner parts. The furnace heat-treats a metal material M while moving the metal material M forward by making the mobile beams 19 repeat the rectangular movement of moving upward/forward/downward/backward. The furnace further includes a heat reflection body 41 on a furnace bottom 16 of the furnace body 11, which is widened from the upper part toward the lower part and has ramped portions 41a formed so as to oppose to the burners 14 and 15.
