PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harmonic reduction gear having simple construction for reducing the amplitude of vibration. SOLUTION: The harmonic reduction gear 9 includes a frame 3b, a circular spline 10, a flexible spline 11, and a web generator 12, as main components. At the opening peripheral edge of a female screw 13 on a circular spline mounting seat surface 3d of the frame 3b, a recessed portion 14 is provided whose diameter size is larger than the diameter size of the female screw 13.
