The soft top (1) has a folding top element (17) accommodated at two main steering wheels (6, 7) in an articulated manner. One of the steering wheels (6) is hinged in a body-firm hinge point (9). A steering wheel element (8) is hinged in another body-firm hinge point (12). The other main steering wheel is connected tiltably with the wheel element. An end of a drive element e.g. gas-pressurized spring, is engaged at the former steering wheel, and defines a lever arm. Another end of the drive element is engaged at the wheel element and the latter steering wheel, and defines another lever arm.
