Disclosed is an optical disc reproduction apparatus, wherein mistaken error correction of sub-information to information different from the original sub-information can be prevented, and sub-information can be stably reproduced. The optical disc reproduction apparatus (1) is provided with an optical head (301) which, based on a recording mark formed in an optical disc (300), reads reproduced signals which include main information and sub-information, a main information extraction unit (4) which extracts the main information from the reproduced signals, and a sub-information extraction unit (2) which extracts the sub-information from the reproduced signals. The sub-information extraction unit (2) includes an error correction control unit (308) which assesses the accuracy of the level of reproduction of the sub-information as well as determines the timing for running error correction on the sub-information according to the assessed accuracy of the level of reproduction, and an error correction unit (309) which runs error correction on the sub-information according to the timing determined by the error correction control unit (308).
