<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a lithium ion battery achieving such a lithium ion battery that has a high initial discharge capacity and that has a small proportion of reduction of the discharge capacity due to repetition of charge and discharge, and a lithium ion battery with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The working electrode 12 for the lithium ion battery includes a substrate 14 and a porous carbon layer 15 provided on one surface 14a of the substrate 14, wherein the porous carbon layer 15 contains CNC 21, and the CNC 21 derives from any one of sucrose, furfuryl alcohol, petroleum pitch, phenol resin, and a precursor thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
