PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core metal for a rubber crawler for obtaining the rubber crawler having low flexural rigidity and durability. SOLUTION: In the core metal for the rubber crawler, a pair of guide projections 12-1, 12-2 have narrow width projection parts 12a-1, 12a-2 projected to one side in a circumferential direction of a crawler body with a narrow interval by predetermined length; and wide width projection parts 12b-1, 12b-2 projected to the other side in the circumferential direction of the crawler body with a wide interval by predetermined length. The narrow width projection parts 12a-1, 12-2 are arranged and buried so as to be inserted to the adjacent wide width projection parts 12b-1, 12b-2 of the core metal by predetermined length. Recesses 30-1, 30-2 are formed at one or both predetermined areas of opposed surfaces of walls of the opposed guide projections 12-1, 12-2 of the wide width projection parts 12b-1, 12b-2 and the narrow width projection parts 12a-1, 12a-2.
