PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a traction roller used for producing a glass sheet to be easily replaced or repaired. SOLUTION: A method comprises the steps of: positioning a plurality of calcinated disks composed of a heat resistant material on a shaft in such a manner that the faces are contacted with each other; compressing a plurality of the disks in the axial direction; calcinating a plurality of the compressed calcinated disks at a temperature and for a time sufficient to form one sleeve (800) by integrally fusion-bonding at least one part of a plurality of the compressed calcinated disks; thereafter removing the sleeve (800) off from the shaft; and positioning the sleeve (800) on a traction roller shaft.
