PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video data reproducing device facilitating confirmation of content during high speed reproduction even when memory capacity is limited. SOLUTION: A video data display device includes: an operation speed calculating means 206 for calculating operation speed based on operation input information; an important section information obtaining means for obtaining important section information indicating important section of video data stored in a first storage medium; and an important section prefetch control means in which, when operation speed calculated by the operation speed calculating means 206 exceeds a predetermined speed, video data of the important section based on important section information obtained by the important section information obtaining means is prefetched by a second storage medium allowing higher-speed reading than the first storage medium at shorter intervals than a frame interval other than the important section displayed in reproduction display.
