VECTOR MATERIAL FOR CREATING PLURIPOTENT STEM CELLS, AND PLURIPOTENT STEM CELL CREATION METHOD USING SAID VECTOR MATERIAL

An initialized gene from a cell is integrated into a Sendai virus vector that is capable of sustained expression and does not exhibit the activity of incorporating foreign genetic information into its chromosomes. After said gene is introduced into a normally differentiated cell and expressed, vector genome RNA that includes said gene is removed from the cell, thereby establishing an induced pluripotent stem cell. The abovementioned Sendai virus vector is capable of extremely simple and efficient creation of induced pluripotent stem cells having identical genome information to the organism providing the differentiated cell. The Sendai virus vector is also safe, the risk of tumor formation being low, and by providing useful induced pluripotent stem cells, can for example become a important tool for safe and efficient cell replenishment therapy and the like.
