The invention relates to a method and installation for stunning poultry, such as chicken, turkey, duck and quail, comprising the steps of:
i) suspending the poultry with the poultry head down;
ii) positioning the suspended poultry head; and
iii) stunning the poultry via the suspended and positioned poultry head, and to obtainable debleeded poultry.
