PURPOSE: A method of detection for surgical instruments, recording media of the same, a surgical system of using the same and the surgical subsystem of using the same are provided to maintain a surgical instrument optimum by minimize an effect due to a foreign material. CONSTITUTION: An image is generated by using a surgical image(S310). A surgical instrument is distinguished from a surgical image by using the generated image(S320). The surgical instrument is selected from the surgical image(S321). A background image is removed from the surgical image(S322). The surgical instrument is detected by using the generated image(S330).
