<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling weeds exhibiting high weeding effects without causing chemical injury in Jatropha. <P>SOLUTION: The method for controlling the weeds at the growing site of the Jatropha, comprising applying an effective amount of an inhibitor of acetolactic acid synthase as an active ingredient to the site in which the Jatropha grows, the method for controlling the weeds at the growing site of the Jatropha, wherein the inhibitor of the acetolactic acid synthase is at least one selected from the group consisting of amidosulfuron, azimsulfuron, bensulfuron-methyl, bispyribac-sodium, chlorimuron-ethyl, chlorsulfuron, cinosulfuron, cloransulam-methyl, cyclosulfamuron, diclosulam, ethametsulfuron methyl, ethoxysulfuron and the like, and the like are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
