PURPOSE: A variable compression ratio adjusting device using the adjustment of a gear train of a crank shaft is provided to improve fuel efficiency and performance in various driving areas by adjusting compression ratio, since a gear train is adjusted by an electric motor. CONSTITUTION: A variable compression ratio adjusting device using the adjustment of a gear train of a crank shaft comprises a planetary gear(1b), a crank pin(1a), and an operating gear(3). The planetary gear is formed form the combination of a gear train and a crank shaft(5). The crank pin is eccentrically coupled with the planetary gear. The operating gear engages with a ring gear(4). The operating gear and the planetary gear rotate together. The ring gear adjusts compression ratio by being rotated by an electric motor.
