PURPOSE: A portable terminal comprising a Bluetooth module for minimizing current consumption and a communication connecting method between Bluetooth access points are provided to request Bluetooth access points to be connected, and to convert operational modules related to a Bluetooth module into a low-power state if responses are not received from the Bluetooth access points during a standby time, thereby reducing current consumption. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal mounted with a Bluetooth module decides whether a current connection request time comes(S100). If so, the terminal requests a Bluetooth access point to be connected at the connection request time(S120). The terminal waits for a response signal from the requested Bluetooth access point(S130). The terminal decides whether a set standby time elapses while waiting for the response signal(S140). If so, the terminal converts operational modules related to operations of the Bluetooth module into a low-power state(S150). |
