METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ESTIMATING CONDITION OF ROAD

PURPOSE: A method and a device for determining the road condition is provided to uses relative rod reflectivity of laser which has different moisture attenuation ratio, thereby determining the road condition accurately. CONSTITUTION: Laser transmitters(110,120) examines the wavelength which has low attenuation ratio about the moisture and the wavelength which has high attenuation ration about the moisture. A laser receiver(210) receives laser of the high wavelength and the low wavelength which is reflected from the road. A reflectivity determining unit(220) determines the relatively reflectivity about the laser of the laser of the low wavelength and the high wavelength. The road condition determination unit(230) determines the road condition based on determination result. A polygon reflective mirror examines laser into the road domain. A rotation driving rotates the polygon reflective mirror.
