The device (3) has a side head-rest movably assembled to an inner side panel i.e. rear side panel (5), of a body of a vehicle between inactive and active positions to project towards front of the vehicle from the panel according to a longitudinal direction. A guiding unit of the head-rest includes a slide integrated to the head-rest and a guide integrated to the panel. The head-rest is immobilized relative to the panel at the inactive or active position in which the head-rest is opposite to a frame (9) of a window glass pane (6) of the vehicle by a positioning and fixing unit e.g. boss. |
