PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner capable of securing a burner port area of thin flame holes without degrading flame retaining effect by thick flame holes. SOLUTION: A straightening member 70 is disposed in a burner port section 30 of this burner 1. The thin flame holes 87 forming main flame are formed on an upper end section of the straightening member 70. Thick flame holes 97, 98 forming retention flame are disposed at both sides of the thin flame holes 87. Recessed sections 85 are formed on the centers of end-side straightening plates 91, 92 positioned at both sides of the straightening member 70. Flow channels at both sides of the straightening member 70 are blocked at the recessed sections 85. The main flame formed on the thin flame holes 87 has a narrow width in the lateral direction in the recessed sections 85. As recessed sections are formed on side faces of the main frame in the recessed sections 85, the retention flame can be closely kept into contact with the main flame. Thus the flame retaining effect of the main flame can be obtained while securing the burner port area of the thin flame holes 87. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
