PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature-sensitive high molecular compound which has an excellent biocompatibility and is inexpensively available, and a thermosensitive drug-release system. SOLUTION: The thermosensitive high molecular compound has a polyglycerine skeleton as the main chain and at least a repeating unit expressed by formula (a) (wherein, GL is a glycerin residue; X is a linker; and R is a thermosensitive group). The high molecular compound has a molecular weight of 120-12,000, and is obtained by introducing a precursor for the linker X1which is a monovalent organic group having a functional group to which a thermosensitive group is introducible by a reaction to a polyglycerine in which primary hydroxyl group accounts for ≥50% of all the hydroxyl groups and then introducing thermosensitive groups R.
