摘要 Subject: salsify chips and preparation method thereof. Five preparation steps: 1) rinsing, peeling and cutting of salsify root into thin strips; 2) emerging of salsify strips into a solution containing 1litre of water and 100ml of lemon juice; 3) frying of salsify strips for 4 minutes thereabouts into a frying appliance containing 2 litres of frying oil preheated up to 160 deg. C; 4) taking the fried salsify chips off from the frying appliance; 5) salting and placement of the fried chips onto a dish covered by starch-free oil-absorbing paper. Advantages: preparation of tasteful healthy chips since salsify root is free of starch, cholesterol and fats and exhibits low calorific value (60 calories per 90 gr of salsify root).
