<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a bipolar secondary battery capable of preventing inner short circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The bipolar electrode 10 has a positive electrode layer 12 and a negative electrode layer 13 formed on a front and rear face of a collector 11, and the positive electrode layer 12 is formed through a process of coating an electrode material twice (first layers 121, 141 and second layers 122, 142). The twice coating process is carried out by changing end-part positions of the respective layers. With this, a height Bh of a protrusion B at the end part made by one-time coating is to be lower than a height Sh of a whole electrode face, so that there will be no protrusions at positions opposed to each other through a separator.
