PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for image formation excelling in thermal characteristics, heat-resistant storage stability and transparency, and to provide an image forming apparatus, an image forming method and a process cartridge that use the toner. SOLUTION: The toner for image formation is such that the toner contains a resin (b1), having a polyhydroxycarboxylic acid skeleton as at least a binder resin; monomers of the resin (b1), constituting the polyhydroxycarboxylic acid skeleton include an optically active monomer; and the toner contains an inorganic filler in the inside of the toner.
