摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light-emitting laser array comprising a two-dimensional photonic crystal for suppressing a crosstalk with an adjacent surface light-emitting laser, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The surface light-emitting laser array including an active layer and the two-dimensional photonic crystal, having a resonance mode in an in-plane direction of the two-dimensional photonic crystal, and taking out light in a direction perpendicular to a surface of the two-dimensional photonic crystal is the surface light-emitting laser array arranged in an array-shape. The surface ighth-emitting laser includes a mesa-type oblique sidewall surface. Assuming a maximum light-receiving angle to the mesa-type oblique sidewall surface where incident light is coupled to a waveguide including the two-dimensional photonic crystal asθmax°, an angle between the surface of the two-dimensional photonic crystal and the mesa-type oblique sidewall surface is more than (90+θmax)°, or less than (90-θmax)°.
