PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a ball chain which can withstand a high tensile load. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the ball chain comprises: a step where a metal wire 7 is passed into a connecting shaft die 3 so as to be molded into a connecting shaft wire 10; a step where a metal tape 11 and the connecting shaft wire 10 are fed to a drawing-out die 4 with positioning means 16, 17 positioning the feeding positions and angles of the connecting shaft wire 10 and the metal tape 11; a step where the metal tape 11 and the connecting shaft wire 10 are drawn out to a metal tube 14 by the drawing-out die 4 in a state where the connecting shaft wire 10 is involved; a step where, when the butted seams of the metal tube 14 rotate to prescribed positions, laser emission or TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding is performed, thus the butted seams are welded; a step where the metal tube 14 and the connecting shaft wire 10 are fed to a rotary shaft symmetrical body molding die 5 so as to be molded into a ball chain structure 15 in a state where the rotary shaft symmetrical body involves the connecting top part of the connecting shaft; and a step where the joint between the ball chain structure 15 and the connecting shaft wire 10 is cut.
