PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold which has desired dimension and is manufactured at a low cost, a method for manufacturing an optical device, and an optical equipment. SOLUTION: The mold 50 used for pressing a glass preform is provided with a lower die 51 on which the glass preform is mounted, an upper die 53 for pressing the glass preform by approaching and being separated from the lower die 51 and a body mold 55 surrounding the lower die 51 and the upper die 53 to regulate the approach and separation track.
