PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce sliding loss on a thrust surface on which a fixed scroll and an end plate of a turning scroll in a scroll compressor slide, in connection with efficiency improvement of a refrigerating air-conditioner and application of high-pressure refrigerant such as carbon dioxide in recent years. SOLUTION: A passage 80 is formed inside the end plate 13a of the turning scroll 13. One opening of the passage opens to the thrust sliding surface 40 between the fixed scroll 12 and the end plate 13a of the turning scroll 13, while the other opening opens into a discharge space 31 at the back of an end plate 12b of the fixed scroll 12. Thus, oil can be supplied to the thrust sliding surface 40. This reduces the sliding loss and can achieve an improvement in the compression efficiency and higher reliability.
