The laser has a resonator comprising an end mirror (30) and an output mirror i.e. Bragg lattice (75). A laser-active medium (40) is arranged in the resonator in a path of rays (80) between the end mirror and output mirror. A Q-switch (50) is positioned in the path of rays between the laser-active medium and the output mirror by light emerging from the laser-active medium into a light-conducting fiber (70) i.e. non-laser-active fiber. The light-conducting fiber leads a light that is coupled into the fiber to the output mirror.
