<p>The method involves aligning a light beam (6) of a light source (4) toward a road surface (7) at a distance before a wheel (8) of a motor vehicle (1). A reflected light beam (9) is detected with a sensor (5) that is arranged in a plane at the motor vehicle, and an angle between the reflected light beam and a horizontal cut line (12) is determined. Height of a point (10) of the road surface is calculated based on the angle, and an active chassis (3) is adjusted depending on height of the point of the road surface. The light source is designed as a laser. The sensor is designed as a digital camera. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program having a set of instructions for executing a method for adjusting an active chassis of a motor vehicle (2) a computer program product having a set of instructions for executing a method for adjusting an active chassis of a motor vehicle (3) a motor vehicle comprising a device for adjusting an active chassis of a motor vehicle.</p> |
