The method monitors gas pressure in units where a gas flow is generated from a gas source and is fed to a pick up point via a connector line or conduit. An actual value of the pressure is measured and is analyzed by a pressure regulator. The pressure is measured in a narrowed section of the connector line spaced from the pick up point. An independent claim is also included for apparatus for carrying out the method.
