The method involves generating data frames by a transmission device, where each data frame (1) comprises a header (2) and a load (3). The data frames are transmitted from the transmission device to another transmission device. The load comprises Nx 8 bytes, where N is an integer number. The header comprises identification information constituted of Nx 8 bits, where each of the bits indicates data type of one of the respective bytes. An independent claim is also included for a transmission apparatus comprising transmission devices.
