PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To handle refrigerants and oils in a substantially constrained condition, and to enable sufficiently gas-liquid separated gas to be discharged from an external discharge pipe. SOLUTION: In a hermetically-sealed compressor, in order to prevent an oil 6 adhered onto the inner wall surface of a sealed vessel 1 from climbing up the inner wall surface of sealed vessel 1, and from being discharged to the outside of the sealed vessel 1 as it is, a concave and convex processing 5 is provided on the inner wall surface of the sealed vessel 1, thereby causing the oil 6 which is going to climb up the inner wall surface of the sealed vessel 1, hard to climb up the inner surface of the sealed vessel 1 with the concave and convex processing 5 serving as resistance thereagainst. As a result, the oil 6 is prevented from being discharged to the outside of the sealed vessel 1, and only refrigerant gas 27 results in being discharged to the outside of the sealed vessel 1, thus achieving efficient gas-liquid separation.
