<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device and an optical disk device, which removes stray light by simple constitution, and suppresses a DC component generated in a tracking error signal. <P>SOLUTION: An optical pickup device applies different astigmatism operation and advance direction change operation to light fluxes of light flux areas A to D formed around an optical axis of the laser light out of the laser light reflected by a disk, and light fluxes of the light flux areas A to D are separated one another. A signal light area where only signal light exists is defined on a detection surface of a photodetector. Eight sensing portions P11 to P18 are arranged in the area. When a difference signal between an addition signal of P17, P18 and an addition signal of P11, P12 is denoted as PP1, and when a difference signal between an addition signal of P13, P14 and an addition signal of P15, P16 is denoted as PP2, a push-pull signal is obtained by calculating CPP=PPI+k×PP2. Thereby, a push-pull signal with reduced influence of stray light and the reduced DC component is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
