PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow heat source high in conversion efficiency from electric energy to heat energy. SOLUTION: This hollow heat source includes a heating element and at least two electrodes electrically connected with the heating element. The heating element is a hollow structure containing a carbon nanotube composite structure; the carbon nanotube composite structure includes a base material and a carbon nanotube film having at least a self-standing structure; and the carbon nanotube film and the base material are composited. The single carbon nanotube film includes a plurality of carbon nanotubes; and the plurality of carbon nanotubes are arranged isotropically, arranged along a predetermined direction or arranged along different plurality of directions.
