PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which is simple in manufacturing work while maintaining uniformity, and a manufacturing method of the same. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire, a chafer 19 including a longitudinal cord extending in the circumferential direction of the tire, a transverse cord extending in the diametrical direction of the tire orthogonal to the longitudinal cord and a rubber coat layer which coats the longitudinal cord and the transverse cord is arranged in a bead in an annular form along the circumferential direction of the tire. In the chafer 19, a plurality of slits 25 extending in the diametrical direction of the tire are formed.
