PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conidium germination promoter of Nomuraea rileyi. SOLUTION: The Nomuraea rileyi germination promoter comprises sphingosine as an active ingredient (to be more specific, at least one kind of sphingosine selected from the group of 12-18C sphingosines) for promoting Nomuraea rileyi germination. Preferably the Nomuraea rileyi germination promoter comprises at least D-erythro-C14-sphingosine as an active ingredient and a peptidergic nitrogen component. Consequently germination of Nomuraea rileyi being an insect pathogenic filamentous fungus is promoted to obtain a natural enemy microbial pesticide containing Nomuraea rileyi. The pesticide is useful as a pesticide for exterminating insects such as insects of the order of especially Lepidoptera, Orthoptera, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
