PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content playback apparatus for improving affinity between two different units and operating both the units cooperatively by operating a first unit. SOLUTION: In a content playback apparatus, a first unit includes: a first input receiving means for receiving a first operating signal generated from a first operating device; a first determination means for determining whether the first unit or a second unit is to be controlled; a first control means for controlling the first unit; and a first control information transmitting means for transmitting first control information to the second unit. The second unit includes: a first control information receiving means for receiving the first control information; and a second control means for controlling the second unit based on the first control information.
