<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device, capable of reducing a fixing processing time and achieving miniaturization, and also capable of obtaining a high quality image. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a heating member 20; an opposing member 21 contacting the heating member 20, to form a fixing nip N; a rotation driving means rotatively driving the heating member 20; and a sheet material supplying mechanism supplying a sheet material S to between the heating member 20 and the unfixed image surface of a recording medium P in the fixing nip N. The fixing device heats the unfixed image T of the recording medium P by the heat of the heating member 20 through the sheet material S, to fix the unfixed image T on the recording medium P. The fixing device is configured such that tension F is applied to the sheet material S supplied to the fixing nip N on the upstream side from the fixing nip N in the conveyance direction of the sheet material S, by the rotation driving force of the heating member 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
