A method and an apparatus for processing multimedia broadcast multicast service session are provided in communication technology field, wherein the method includes: obtaining attribute information of the current Multimedia Broadcast Service Session (MBMS) bearer service; when other MBMS bearer service which matches the attribute information of the current MBMS bearer service is saved, generating a session processing signaling according to the attribute information of the current MBMS bearer service and the attribute information of the other MBMS bearer service; transmitting the session processing signaling. The beneficial effect of the present invention is that: the MBMS bearer service of wireless access network can be handled by judging the relativity between the attribute information of the existed MBMS bearer service and the attribute information of the current MBMS bearer service, thus the wireless access network will not judge that the current MBMS bearer service is the same as the existed MBMS bearer service and reject the current MBMS bearer service.
