PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat pneumatic tire excellent in durability performance. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire (1) includes a belt (6) comprising one or more circumferential belt layers (3a, 3b) and two or more inclined belt layers (4a, 4b) outside in a tire radial direction of the carcass (2) where a tread (5) is arranged outside a radial direction of the belt (6). The maximum width (BW<SB>1</SB>) of the circumferential belt layers (3a, 3b) is 60% or larger of the total width (TW) of the tire. The width of at least one of the inclined belt layers (4a, 4b) is larger than the width of the circumferential belt layers (3a, 3b). Furthermore, in at least one layer of the circumferential belt layers (3a, 3b), the width directional distribution of elasticity modulus of the cord has at least one of the maximal value larger than the elasticity modulus of the cord on the equatorial plane (C) of the tire at both sides surrounding the equatorial plane (C) of the tire, respectively.
