摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such the problem that when browsing a web site using HTTP, a server has to hold back some of requested data until a network "catches up" data delivery, a user is frustrated in a slow response and a page loading time, the bandwidth to send a request is more than needed, and the bandwidth to receive pages is not enough to deliver data at acceptable rates. <P>SOLUTION: A technique for providing high speed data service over standard wireless connections via an unique integration of protocols and existing cellular signaling is disclosed. Channel resources are allocated according to a buffer monitoring scheme between a base station (104) and multiple subscriber units (101-1, ..., 101-n).
