<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce the whole width dimension, and enable to prevent that a current take-out terminal gives effects on a fuel gas. <P>SOLUTION: In a fuel cell stack 10, it has a rectangular shape in a plan view, and a plurality of fuel cells 22 are laminated. In the fuel cells 22, an electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 30 is pinched by first and second separators 32, 34. In the first separator 32, at one corner part of respective rectangular shaped short sides, notch parts 52a, 52b are installed and voltage measurement terminals 54a, 54b swollen out to the notch parts 52a, 52b and used for voltage measurement are installed.
