PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device capable of blocking light in an infrared region, while suppressing deterioration in color reproducibility. SOLUTION: The solid-state image pickup device in which a plurality of pixels are arranged two-dimensionally, and each pixel has a light receiving part that converts incident light into an electrical signal has a color filter, having a transmission band in a visible-light wavelength region, and an infrared-blocking filter that blocks light in the infrared wavelength region and transmits light in the visible-light wavelength region in each light-receiving part. Each of the color filter and the infrared-blocking filter is constituted of a dielectric multilayer film in which a high-refractive index material layer, formed of an inorganic high refractive index material and a low-refractive index material layer formed of an inorganic low refractive index material are laminated alternately. The color filter is formed so as to keep the transmittance of the light, in a part of the region on a shorter wavelength side of the infrared wavelength region at 50% or less.
