摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can produce a rare earth alloy powder having superior magnetic properties by using a HDDR method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the rare earth alloy powder by using the HDDR method includes: a hydrogenolysis step (II) of subjecting a raw material alloy which contains &rho; (mass%) of a rare earth element to hydrogenolysis at the temperature of T<SB>1</SB>to obtain a decomposed product having the hydrogen concentration of &eta;<SB>1</SB>(mass%); a first desorption recombination step (IV) of releasing hydrogen from the decomposed product at a predetermined velocity at the temperature of T<SB>2</SB>which is higher than the temperature of T<SB>1</SB>to lower the hydrogen concentration in the decomposed product from &eta;<SB>1</SB>to &eta;<SB>2</SB>(mass%) which satisfies following expression (1): 0.008&times;&rho;&le;&eta;<SB>2</SB>&le;0.013&times;&rho; (1); and a second desorption recombination step (V) of lowering the rate of releasing hydrogen from the decomposed product compared to that in the first desorption recombination step (IV) to further lower the hydrogen concentration in the decomposed product and obtain the rare earth alloy powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
