WATER-SOLUBLE 5-VALENT ANTIMONY REAGENT AND ANTI-LEISHMANIASIS THERAPEUTIC AGENT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble 5-valent antimony reagent which is soluble in water without an additive such as an alcohol and a surfactant and remarkably improved in water solubility by these additives.

SOLUTION: This water-soluble 5-valent antimony reagent has a sulfate group in the axial ligand of a phthalocyanine complex of antimony, and the axial ligand comprises a plurality of hydroxy groups and a part or all of them are substituted by sulfate groups. This water-soluble 5-valent antimony reagent has a sulfonate group in a phenoxy group, a peripheral substituent of the phthalocyanine, and a part or all of the phenoxy groups of the peripheral substituent are sulfonated.
