BINDING MOLECULES FOR HUMAN FACTOR VIII AND FACTOR VIII-LIKE PROTEINS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying human factor VIII and/or factor VIII-like polypeptides, the method comprising: detecting human factor VIII or factor VIII-like polypeptides in solutions such as blood or conditioned media, and isolating the human factor VIII or the factor VIII-like polypeptides from the solution.

SOLUTION: The method includes recognizing human factor VIII and/or factor VIII-like polypeptides; immobilizing binding molecules including binding moieties to form a binding complex with the human factor VIII and/or the factor VIII-like polypeptides to a solid phase support; bringing a solution containing the human factor VIII and/or the factor VIII-like polypeptides into contact with the solid phase support; and separating the factor from the solid phase support.
